Esterhazy, SK – December 5, 2025
Suncrest College is thrilled to announce that Mosaic has provided $1.5 million in funding over three years to support the College’s Industrial Mechanics program in Esterhazy. The funding was publicly announced on Tuesday at Mosaic Stadium as part of Mosaic’s broader $4 million, three-year investment in workforce development across Saskatchewan.
The investment will support program enhancements, facility and equipment upgrades, IT improvements, and scholarships for students. Suncrest College’s upgraded training space will be named the Mosaic Industrial Mechanics Lab in recognition of this generous contribution.
“Mosaic is pleased to invest $4 million to grow our future workforce,” said Bruce Bodine, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Mosaic Company. “Our investment will strengthen our talent pipeline by mining local talent in the communities where we operate and provide opportunities for rural and Indigenous students to grow their careers. Over the last 20 years, Mosaic has been proud to provide good jobs and invest millions into Saskatchewan’s rural communities and across the province, and today’s announcement is another example of that ongoing commitment.”
“Suncrest College is proud to be located in the heart of Mosaic’s mining operations, with our campus right here in Esterhazy,” said Alison Dubreuil, President and Chief Executive Officer of Suncrest College. “We are deeply grateful for this significant investment. It allows us to upgrade our Industrial Mechanics lab, enhance the learning environment for our students, and increase our capacity to train the skilled workers our region needs. Our partnership with Mosaic is built on a shared commitment to our learners, to rural communities, and to Saskatchewan’s economic future. This support ensures we can continue delivering high-quality, apprenticeship-level training that aligns with industry needs and opens doors for students close to home.”
Currently, a significant portion of Suncrest College’s Industrial Mechanic Apprenticeship participants in Esterhazy are employed by Mosaic, underscoring the strong alignment between the program and local industry needs.
