BHP Jansen Project Scholarship Program
BHP offers annual scholarships to eligible individuals entering post-secondary education or training. Scholarships provide financial support to students from schools and communities located in proximity to the Project’s site in east-central Saskatchewan, including Indigenous youth from the surrounding First Nations.

How do I apply for scholarships?

When is the Internal scholarship application deadline?
Applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. CST on January 22, 2023.
If I'm selected, when will I receive my scholarship money?
Successful applicants will be notified via email by mid-February. It is important that you provide us with a current email address and mailing address in your application. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a cheque addressed to the recipient at the scholarship ceremony in either Yorkton or Tisdale.
How will I know if I was chosen for a scholarship?
Only successful applicants will be notified.
If I am selected for a scholarship is there anything else I need to provide?
The scholarship committee will contact you directly if any further documentation is needed.
What is “academic progress”?
For current students, many Internal Scholarships require a copy of your grades to this point in the academic year to help us calculate academic merit. By completing your application, you grant the scholarship committee permission to retrieve your grades for the current academic year. Your information will not be shared outside of the committee and will be used only to calculate academic merit.
If I live outside of Saskatchewan can I still apply for scholarships?
As long as you are enrolled in a program at Suncrest College, you are eligible for scholarships. If you took your secondary schooling out of province but now live in the Suncrest Region, you can apply for all scholarships as long as you meet their respective eligibility requirements.
