Suncrest College Unveils Bold New Strategic Plan to Inspire Bright Futures for Saskatchewan

YORKTON, SK — Suncrest College has officially released its new Strategic Plan, outlining an ambitious and achievable roadmap that positions the College to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world with creativity, adaptability, and purpose.
The plan reflects months of thoughtful collaboration among staff, learners, industry partners, Indigenous leaders, advisory groups, and the Board of Governors. It reaffirms the College’s mission to empower learners, support employers, and strengthen communities.
“It is with great pride and gratitude that I share Suncrest College’s new Strategic Plan,” said Alison Dubreuil, President and CEO of Suncrest College. “The plan reflects a shared vision for our college’s future, shaped through collaboration, dialogue, and a deep commitment to the growth, opportunity, and connection to those we serve.”
The plan outlines five key strategic goals designed to guide the College’s growth and impact over the next five years:


1. Maximize Learner Success & Impact
2. Foster Indigenous Engagement
3. Advance Industry, Regional, and Community Growth
4. Nurture a Transformational Culture
5. Drive Digital and Infrastructure Resource Management

The plan also includes clear goals, timelines, and key performance indicators, with ongoing evaluation to ensure progress remains aligned with community needs and emerging opportunities.
Suncrest College’s commitment to fostering inclusive economic and social prosperity is reinforced by a recent economic impact study conducted by Lightcast. The study found that in the 2023–24 fiscal year, the College contributed $119.8 million in added income to the regional economy, supporting hundreds of local jobs and generating a 21.3% return on investment for taxpayers.
“Suncrest College plays a vital role in preparing learners for success in an evolving workforce,” added Dubreuil. “From digital transformation to shifts in the labour market, this plan positions us to meet change with innovation and purpose that will help build a stronger future for Saskatchewan, one learner and one community at a time.”
With more than 4,500 learners, 350 employees, and 11 campuses, Suncrest College remains a leader in accessible education, workforce development, and regional growth. Through partnerships with industry, Indigenous communities, and local organizations, the College ensures its programs remain relevant, accessible, and impactful.
