YORKTON — On Wednesday, Aug. 28, Suncrest College’s Board of Governors announced changes to its membership.
After serving eight years, Brian Hicke will be stepping down from the board. Suncrest College thanks Hicke for his dedicated service and valuable contributions and wish him the best in his future endeavors.
“We’d like to thank Brian for all of his years of support and advocacy for Suncrest College,” said Suncrest College President and CEO Alison Dubreuil.
The College will welcome a new board member as well. Yorkton resident and business leader Kaitlyn Kitzan will begin her term on the board.
In addition to farming with her family near Theodore, Saskatchewan, Kitzan is the owner of Kitzan Strategic Solutions which specializes in business development, government relations and marketing and communications in the agriculture and food sector. She has held leadership roles at organizations like Glacier FarmMedia and has sat on numerous boards including the Wheat Growers Association, Sask. Young Ag, and the Yorkton Exhibition Association.
With the changes, the Suncrest College Board of Governors currently has seven members. The role of the board of governors is to provide strategic leadership and guidance.

The college offers a superior learning experience with locations in Canora, Esterhazy, Fort Qu’Appelle, Kamsack, Melfort, Melville, Nipawin, Tisdale, and Yorkton.
