Manager, Human Resources

Suncrest College is currently accepting applications for a Manager, Human Resources to join our team. This full-time, permanent position is based out of Yorkton, SK and will be commencing as soon as possible.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting to the Vice President, People & Strategy, the Human Resources Manager is responsible to provide Human Resource expertise in the areas of interpretation and administration of personnel policies, collective bargaining agreement and personnel and labour regulations, recruitment and selection, onboarding, job evaluation, professional development, performance management and succession planning.  The Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the College’s personnel policies and procedures. 

The Human Resources Manager provides leadership in fostering a climate that is focused on meeting the needs of learners, staff, employers, and communities. The position is responsible for overall supervision and management for key human resource functions including recruitment and selection, labour relations, performance management, and learning and development. The Human Resource Manager will implement and contribute to ongoing initiatives to improve processes and implement best practices that support our strategic direction, operations and organizational priorities. 

The Human Resources Manager performs complex and specialized functions requiring considerable independent judgement in decisions that may influence all parts of the College. 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Commerce, with a major in Human Resource Management and a Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) designation.
  • Five years’ practical, recent, and related experience in a similar Human Resource related position.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
