Are you interested in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Ultrasound Program, but don't have the required post-secondary courses, yet? Look no further, as you may be able to complete these pre-requisites here at Suncrest College!

Suncrest College offers a variety of university classes through University of Regina and University of Saskatchewan, that supports the Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Ultrasound Program requirements. Please refer to the Courses tab, for more details.

University students at Suncrest College still need to be accepted into the University course of your choice and must apply directly to the University.  Students must also complete the Suncrest College registration form, found at the How to Apply tab, as a way to register yourself as a Suncrest College student. This ensures our University team can best support you!

 

Overview of the DMS-Ultrasound Post-secondary courses requirements.

You need at least 27 credit units of post-secondary courses with credits required in the following three categories:

  1.   18 Credits of University Level courses
    • 12 credits (or more) have to be in science, with maximum of 6 credits that can be in social sciences, and humanities
    • A pass of 65% (or C+ equivalent) is needed in each course applied towards this program

       

  2.   6 credit units of Human Anatomy & Physiology
    • Courses must include a lab component
    • A pass of 65% (or C+ equivalent) is needed in each course
    • You must have completed the course(s) within the last five academic years of your application date

       

  3.   3 credit units of Medical Terminology
    • A pass of 65% (or C+ equivalent) is needed in this course
    • You must have completed the course(s) within the last five academic years of your application date
