Enhance your computer, communication and office skills

Our Office Administration program is a one-year certificate program offered virtually, during the daytime (full-time).

This means you will:

  • attend classes virtually via TEAMS during the day according to a predetermined schedule
  • mirror the in-person classroom experience
  • exams held face-to-face in Tisdale or Yorkton.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Edit and write business letters, memos and email communication;
  • Effectively use leading business software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, desktop publishing and Adobe to create business documents;
  • Learn organizational technologies used to create efficiencies within the operations of an office;
  • Execute office procedures such as reception, mail processing, email communication, calendaring, telephone communication, maintaining office equipment, task management and meeting participation;
  • Generate, maintain and retrieve manual and electronic records;
  • Do basic accounting; and
  • Use automated accounting software and learn medical terminology (depending on your elective choice).

We emphasize hands-on learning, especially when it comes to computer and software programs. You’ll learn to use leading office software, from word processing to accounting to email. You’ll gain practical experience through simulated office situations. You’ll practice standard office procedures, from directing telephone communications to preparing for meetings to maintaining office equipment and managing office supplies.

I chose College because they offered Business Administration year one, and this is a course that I have always wanted to take. The location is great because I live in Fort Qu’Appelle and I didn’t have to drive far or relocate.

The best thing about College is the staff, they work with you one on one. I have recommended College to others, because of the staff. The teachers take the time to help you learn and if you were ever in need they were there to help come to a solution.
