Industrial Mechanics are highly skilled tradespeople responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment used in manufacturing, mining, agriculture, energy, and processing facilities. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on shop training, apprentices develop competencies in areas such as:

To attend Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) technical training, individuals must be registered as an apprentice with the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC) and have accumulated the required on-the-job hours to be eligible for their next level of training.
Training is funded by the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission. The cost to you, as an apprentice, is minimal and is payable to SATCC.
Apprentices register for Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) technical training through their MyATC account with the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC).
Eligible apprentices can view available training dates, register for technical training, and access important apprenticeship information through MyATC. For information about apprenticeship registration, training requirements, or accessing MyATC, visit www.saskapprenticeship.ca.
Technical training schedules are typically released by the SATCC each spring for the upcoming training year. Apprentices can view available training dates and register through their MyATC account once registration opens.
