Program Index Pathways to Digital Careers

Pathways to Digital Careers is a free, part-time training program for individuals interested in technology, hands-on projects, or building workplace readiness skills. Offered at Suncrest College locations in Yorkton and Kamsack, the program is designed to support rural learners—especially Indigenous peoples, newcomers, women, and youth—as they prepare for opportunities in the digital workforce.

Program participants will have an opportunity to participate in a skills training program, but also to improve their job readiness skills. Skill training opportunities will differ by location.
Each participant will also be given a minimum of 60 hours of job shadowing and work placement hours to build work related skills, create connections to regional employers and provide valuable references for their resume.

Applicants should be unemployed or working casually and be willing to participate in job shadowing and work placements.
Preference for low-levels of formal education
Preference will be given to applicants with low levels of formal education and applicants whose education levels and/or skills have been a barrier to finding successful employment.
Skills for Success Intake Process
All potential participants must participate in an intake process. Ability to provide transcripts and other documentation of previous training would be an asset.

Workplace Skills for Success Training may be beneficial to the following types of organizations:
