Effective March 15, 2019, all drivers who want to obtain a commercial Class 1 license must undergo Saskatchewan’s Mandatory Entry-Level Training (MELT) program.
Drivers will not be accepted without a class 1 (learner's) endorsement. The College will not hold spots for those without the below requirements.
18 years of age and older
You must be at least 18 years of age and out of school for at least a year unless referred by a school division. As well, you must reside in the Suncrest College catchment area.
Valid 1A learners license
Hold a non-graduated driver license (GDL)
Class 5 Saskatchewan driver’s license
Successful completion of SGI written exam for air brakes

Suncrest College
Students who attend Suncrest College can expect smaller class sizes and an easier transition. At Suncrest College students typically receive more one-on-one time with instructors. Our staff will know your name not just your student number.
