Effective March 15, 2019, all drivers who want to obtain a commercial Class 1 license must undergo Saskatchewan’s Mandatory Entry-Level Training (MELT) program.
Drivers will not be accepted without a class 1 (learner's) endorsement. The College will not hold spots for those without the below requirements.
18 years of age and older
You must be at least 18 years of age and out of school a year unless referred by a school division.
Valid 1A learners license
Hold a non-graduated driver license (GDL)
Class 5 Saskatchewan driver’s license
Successful completion of SGI written exam for air brakes
