Suncrest College welcomes applications for the position of Research Student - Knowledge Mobilization. This is a part-time (32 hours per week for 18 weeks), term position, in Yorkton, SK.  The term for this position starts on April 28, 2026 and ends on August 28, 2026.

The Opportunity:

This position is primarily responsible for assisting with all aspects of the SaskOats Mitacs Business Strategy internship project as assigned. SaskOats seeks an intern to develop and deliver a knowledge mobilization plan to promote the value and benefits that SaskOats brings to oat producers in Saskatchewan and to strengthen knowledge about oat production within Saskatchewan. The intern will develop and deliver workshops and presentations from existing research to share with grain producers, agri-food processors, and the general public, including local schools, through field days, exhibitions, seminars, and school visits.

Requirements:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is equivalent to the admission to a program offered at Suncrest College.
  • Active student with a post-secondary institution; or a recent graduate (within the past 12 months).
  • The minimum amount of practical, related experience required to perform the duties of this position is less than one year.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse age groups.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check required.
  • Valid Saskatchewan Driver's License.
  • Valid work permit for the duration of the internship required.
